Why did MSN Groups close?

Because we are dedicated to providing our customers with the most current and user friendly technology available today we made the difficult decision to close the MSN Groups service and invest in a new service, Windows Live Groups, a place for small groups to collaborate. In the long term we believe that closing MSN Groups will allow us to refocus on making Windows Live Groups an innovative, best of breed service that helps you stay in touch with the people you care about.

How do I create a new group?

We have launched a new service called Windows Live Groups that helps small groups collaborate and share. If you run a small group we encourage you to try Windows Live Groups.

We have established a partnership with Multiply, an online group and media sharing service that is tailored to the needs of larger groups. If you would like to create a group of more than 1,000 members, we recommend you use the Multiply service.

Where can I get help?

If you have already migrated your group to Multiply you should contact their customer support team.
